...but it is soooooooooo expensive. I figured up that it would be almost $400 with shipping. Please tell me that I don't need it. I could buy it, but it would severly limit my ability to buy other fall stuff I want.
If buying this outfit will seriously hamper your ability to buy other fall clothing, ask yourself if you could wear the items separately with other clothes. I think each piece is great and could go with a lot of other items.
I agree with the others. These are really nice pieces that will work well together and with other things. I think it's worth it, but I guess it really depends on what else you need for fall. You should try to think of how you can wear these pieces with stuff you already own and see what you can come up with.
That is a very cute outfit, but you're right, expensive.
does anyone else find that anthropologie is overpriced for the materials? those pants for instance are polyester, acrylic, cotton and spandex and cost $128! for that price, wouldn't you expect some wool in them? geez, I have a cute pair of pants from forever21 with that exact fabric content (minus the spandex) for $28. maybe you're paying for the design, tailoring and glossy marketing. anyway, I digress... maybe you can get the sweater, since it's the most unique piece of the three, and then get similar but cheaper items for the top and pants?
The second top is WAY WAY overpriced for what it is! It is cut with pinking shears and all the seams are on the outside! It looks like something I could make- and I don't even have that much sewing experience! So I think you could save there. The trousers- I think closer to fall, that you could find those for a little cheaper- maybe around $70 or so since they are kind of non-descript. The first sweater I can't help you with because I think its absolutely beautiful and have been thinking of it myself.

Totally agree with everything you said lynnie. I've been drooling over the sweater.

Agree, get the sweater as it is the most unique & find similar pieces of the others somewhere else for less.
I agree, I have similar pants from Express I got last fall. Also that purple top looks like something you could find at ann taylor. But the red sweater is great.
I have gone online and looked at that sweater almost everyday. It is great!!! Of the three pieces I would probably get it. As far as the top goes, it is a basic pattern and as lynnie said, you could probably make it (don't you sew?). You could probably even make the pants, but I LOATHE making pants.
Thanks for your commentary. I often fall prey to anthropologie and have been known to sleep with their catalog under my pillow. i love their stuff but it is often overpriced.
I have become a better consumer of their product. I scrutinize all of my possible purchases with them and spend alot less there then i used to. This could explain why i no longer get a christmas card from their corporate office. hmmmm.....
