People who sell your stuff on ebay
Permalink Closed

Has anyone done this? There is a shop I just found by my house that is an 'ebay drop off' place. I know they take a % of what you make and I'm just wondering if it's worth it. I have no time/energy/will to sell on ebay and I'd much rather have someone do it for me.

ive never heard of something like that but i think that if you just want to get rid of your stuff for any price, it sounds like a good idea. otherwise, you should check out their success rate of selling something. if theyre selling items well, i'd probably let them do it. i hate putting items up. too much work, ya know?

depends on the % ebay also charges listing fees and fees for items sold, so when  you add it all up it might not be worth it. how much stuff do you have. i recently listed almost 50 things, it was a pain, but definitely worth it.

If your options are give to goodwill or do this, of course it's worth it! I agree that it depends on how much they charge - how much stuff do you have? Have you looked your items up to see how much they are going for? If it's not entirely too much stuff, I'd do that first to get an idea of how much you are talking about. I am personally in the midst of packing / shipping & it is a lot of time & effort if you work full time & don't have time to fool with it. I think these "drop off" places are a good option. Again, better than nothing (or a tax write off)!

The other thing is - if your items don't sell, do you have to pay the listing fees? I'd check on this to make sure you don't actually lose money if they don't sell.
