no super interesting question from me for now, but how did you get into software testing? what kinds of things do you test for? I have no idea what that kind of job would entail, so it's kind of interesting.

whoa, i need to catch up!!  ok, here we go:


so whats your background? i'm half mexican & half "white" (lots of euro stuff, too much to list)


where were you born? i was born in the san fernando valley, CA


do you live on your own? (I'm pretty sure I remember you do.) good memory, tati!


how old were you when you had your first kiss?  details?  describe!  i was in preschool (what a floozy!) & all i remember is that we kissed behind this big "ball locker" thing where all the balls & othere equipement was kept.  i also remember i liked his brother better!!  my next kiss wasn't until 8th grade (my first FRENCH kiss) & i was sooooo nervous!  it was at a dance & afterward i heard from his friends that i was bad!


Ok, what is the one thing you're most terrified of, and why?  bees, hands down!  my mom is too so i think she conditioned me to fear them.  i can't even watch fear factor when they cover the people in bees, it makes me squirm!!

how did you get into software testing? well, i basically did a search on careerbuilder.com of company's that were looking for math majors & sent my resume to all of them (the few that there were) w/ no cover letter cuz i'm lazy!  a long while later i got a voicemail from this company asking me for an interview & i didn't even know who they were.  it wasn't until i started my job that i really realized what i would be doing!


what kinds of things do you test for? well, it's financial software so basically most of my tests are to ensure the numbers are being calculated correctly.  i look at the database to make sure those nubmers are being shown correctly on the screen & i do a lot of hand calculations (using excel, not my actual "hand").  i also test how things look and make sure all the buttons work & generally that there are no "crashes".

wow, well of course blubirde deserves a response all her own due to the litany of questions:


Describe your current love life including, but not limited to the following: dating status and why, current interest, perfect boy characteristics, marriage oriented or no?, your top 5 celebrity list, and what kind of boys you generally end up meeting (i.e. the ones that you always a) end up going out with and b) end up coming on to you, whether you date them or not).  my "status" at the moment is "dating".  there is only one guy in the pic (the shorty) & the only reason he's in the pic is cuz no one else is.  sad but true... i have fun w/ him but don't want to marry him.  i don't even have any prospects, so i'm kinda happy to just relax & focus on school & fun activities & this guy lives kinda far so i only see him once a week!


my perfect boy characteristics are: tall (5'10" or taller), funny, good smile, muscular but not veiny, healthy, hair not more than ear length, tan but not tanorexic, college educated, gainfully employed, live alone or at the very least not w/ parents, have a serious job (i.e. not SA at A&F no matter how cute they are!), and more that i can't think of!


i am marriage oriented & want a HUGE wedding but since i make more money than either of my parents (and i barely make enough to support myself), i need to start saving 5 years ago to afford that.  i also really want to get married in the catholic church, but that means i gotta marry a catholic guy.  marrying a catholic guy isn't that important to me as long as he is flexible, so it seems ridiculous to make that a requirement just so i can get married in a church.


top 5 celebs (i'm not that into celebs, so i'll just list the first 5 that come to mind):
julian mcmahon (nip/tuck, fantastic 4)
paul walker (no explanation needed,i should hope)
matt damon (random, i know)
the beautiful half of "crazy/beautiful" (can't remember his name at the mo.)
josh holloway (lost - i know he's married tho )


guys i always end up w/ (or talking to) are short!!!  also, they often are way too into me & it freaks me out.  i don't think i've ever been w/ anyone i would consider "perfect" for me, but there was this one guy who came damn close...


Hmmm... what else? Any hobbies?  my newest hobby is salsa dancing... prior to that it was tv!


Describe your personal fashion style: ugh, where do i begin??  i like bright colors & wear tons of jeans & heels.  i pretty much just buy whatever i like & wear whatever is clean... i don't think i have a "style" per se


Perfect vacation spot? based on where i've been i'd say hawaii, but i would also like to check out tahiti, the bahamas, and anywhere warm & tropical


Any particular opinions on fashion in general? i think the only thing that matters is to dress for ur body type.  no matter if it's in "style", if it fits & u feel confident u will look good.


What college did you go to and how did you end up being a math major? (and I swear that wasn't said with disdain, maybe a little fear though! ) haha, don't worry... i went to Loyola Marymount University (a fairly small catholic college in LA).  i started out majoring in sociology because i wanted to save the world, then i didn't like it so i switched to psychology cuz it sounded interesting & it was but just not for me so i finally decided to do the one thing i was good at, which was math!


Current book you're reading? actually i know this is gonna sound weird, but i just started reading the bible.  even tho i'm catholic i really don't know much about the bible cuz i went to public school & i thought i owe it to myself to know a little background.  i just started the other night & i'm not very far, but i will keep reading it til i finish!


Current cd in your player or album on your pod? i don't have an ipod sadly, but in the cd player in my car is "evolver" from 311... i'm going to see them aug. 5th in vegas so i'm getting prepared!

What's your dream life? (job, home, location, spouse, kids, etc.) i really think i would be happy if i found my dream job (hopefully accomplished by obtaining my acct. degree) & my hubby stayed at home w/ the kids.  this is how i grew up & i was really happy w/ my dad staying home cuz he is a great cook & just really cool.


What's your favorite memory? this is hard, i really can't say.  i think this will be reserved for having kids or getting married.


What's your favorite color? blue or pink, depends


If you could eat dinner with anyone in history, living or dead, who would it be, why and what would you eat? Julia Child that way she could cook a bomb meal & then teach me how to do it!  i would have her cook something totally different that i have never eaten before... i like to be surprised.  i would make sure she included dessert tho cuz i LOVE sweets!!


oh & NylaBelle, u can totally join in on the fun!  we will have such a great time, we'll go salsa dancing w/ the other LA girls & hit up all the shops!!
