Okay, I'm 99% sure this first outfit will work. But if I spend $100 on this top, I want to be able to wear it into fall. Do you think it'd work with a tweed pant like these??
That is a great top. The colors will let it work almost year round. Fall you can do tweed pants or a tweed skirt or a denim skirt with knee high boots.
winter you could wear a tissue paper thin cashmere crewneck longsleeve waffle weave sweater under the wrap top with jeans and suede boots and vintagy suede hat for a funky marc jacobs look.
spring you can wear it over a silk skirt or even a silk dress. you could wear it under a basic lightweight suit for a fun office look. . .
it is a classic top with wonderful colors that you could mix and match for years. the possibilities are endless.
I love the tweed pants - I think I am going to steal your idea and get them. I bought this sweater at jcrew to wear with the top, for when it gets cooler. I like wearing chunky sweaters with feminine blouses:
I tried on those gap pants this weekend, and they were huge! They are supposed to be wide leg, but they widened too early where it made my butt and hips look huge. I would definitely try them in store before ordering.
