lace pumps?

Somehow, I really like the idea of lace pumps - I'm just not sure whether they'd be as cool or wearable in reality. What do you think? I'm imagining a dark color with just a layer of lace all over the shoe.

i voted on the nay side, but i think sometimes they can be ok. i have a pair of lace pumps which look a bit more like brocade than lace. i think if paired with a simplistic outfit, it can look alright.
