I think this sweater is beautiful and perfect for my chilly classroom - is it worth $88 though? And does anyone know if it comes in anything other than brown?

it is beautiful. unfortunately i haven't seen it in person so i'm not sure about the quality of the fabric (which would have to be stellar to justify the price, imo)...next time i'm at anthro, i'll be sure to see if i can find it...
I've seen it and tried it on actually. IIRC, our own hotcocoa owns it in a nice green color. The brand is Moth, and I got a sweater by moth that feels just like this one back in the fall and after I had worn it twice, it had pilled terribly. I had not done anything crazy or washed it or anything. Since I got the sweater on sale, I didn't take it back or anything, so it could have just been a fluke, but that's what stopped me from getting this sweater. However, it is gorgeous albeit a little complicated to get in and out of. Maybe hotcocoa would be more helpful.

I own that sweater and I absolutely love it. It looks great over a lot of different styles of top.
I don't even think it comes in brown. I've only seen it in sage green and an ivory/cream color. I have the green and it is a great color, compliments a lot of other colors really nicely.
It just came on the website, but has been in the store for a couple months. Do you have a store near you? I bought mine at the Seattle store a few weeks ago and it is already on sale at my store. I had actually been stalking it - going into the store at least once a week to see if it was on sale yet. I got it for $63 including tax. If you don't have a store nearby, I'd probably see if a store that had it on sale could do a charge and send rather than order from the website.
i have the cardi in green (it comes in green and ivory only). its very cute, although i've only worn it a handful of times since it's been 90° here consistantly since i purchased it... which means i don't know how it washes up. (see ejc's comment about pilling) and it IS somewhat complicated to get in and out of at ejc points out as well... not something you could keep taking on and off.
i do want to tell you the good news. i was in anthro yesterday and saw multiple sizes in both colors on sale for the ridiculously low price of (if i saw correctly) $19.99! it was the birmingham, mi store if you need to search around for one.
i'm editing to add that i for sure saw an xs (this is your size, right) in the green.
I own it in cream and I've worn it all the time. It's a versatile coverup and very very cute on. It looks exactly as it does in the picture on me. But it runs kinda large. I wear an S and I have a 34D chest...I think you'd need the XS for sure and those seem hard to come by.
I can't say anything for washability...I know it's supposed to be hand-washed or dry cleaned. I just dropped it off at the dry cleaners this morning
If you can, go to the store!!!! Before my shopping ban, I saw them on sale for $44.95 and my guess is that it can only have gone down further in price (it's been a month). But in Beverly Hills it's only in M, L, and XL.
YAY! Thanks girls. I have a store sort of near me -- it's about 45 minutes away, so I'll call them. The site lists the colors as "cotton" and "sage", so you must be right, although the way they have them pictured looks like light brown and dark brown to me (neither of which I can wear).

OK, so I called my store and they had NO idea what I was talking about. Either it sold out a long time ago or they never got them. I called the MI store but they said they didn't have anything smaller than a M, so I must've been too late.
I am going to be near the Scottsdale store tomorrow, so I will stop by and see, but it looks like I will have to decide whether to order online & pay full price Thanks for your help, though, ladies -- I appreciate it!

oh, grrrrrrrrr halleybird. are you looking for the ivory? there was an XS in the green yesterday, but i didn't look at the ivory... there were so many of them on that rack though!

Bummer that your local store couldn't identify it. I'd call a few other stores and see if they'll ship it to you for the sale price rather than ordering online.
I was in the store at Kierland Commons yesterday and was trying to find that exact shrug, but it was nowhere to be seen-i had seen it previously, so it must be sold out-it is soooo cute-but I never buy anything in there unless it's on sale - so I passed on it. You'll probably have to get it online unless another store can ship it to you.

I went there too, on Friday night. You're right -- Nothing! In fact, I have decided I hate that whole store. I can't ever find things in there in smaller than a medium, and the SAs are always snotty. I asked one if it was OK to take a shirt off a mannequin, since I wasn't sure how, and she says, "Go for it" and goes back to talking to her friend. Another one made me wait to check out (I was the only one in line, she was the only one at the register) for like 5 minutes while she sat there and did paperwork. Ugh!
Anyway, thanks for checking for me.
