I am moving into a new apt. and I love the cottage style look. My walls are going to be yellow in the Living room/dining room/kitchen and purple in one bedroom( light purple on 2 walls and dark on the other). Any ideas on what I should do? Or any website recs. that I could visit. Thanks!

I love cottages- I want one sooo badly- with moss growing in between the stones, etc.  I'll let you know if I come across anything!

Have you seen Cottage Living Magazine?  If you haven't...it may be worth a look.  They usually have some very cute cottage style decor ideas.

Here's a link to their website:

Country Living is also a good mag.  I think there might be one called "cottage style" too.  Have fun!

I love this magazine. My style isn't "country" at all, but they have GREAT stuff in there!

I love Cottage Style magazine.  When I move into my new apartment, I'm going to decorate it with a Beach Cottage look, but I'm also going to throw in some glamour girl touches like a crystal chandelier.

My mom has her whole house (including her gardens) decorated in the English Cottage look and I have to say, that when she first did it, I was skeptical, but now I love it.  She always said that one day I would turn into her. I guess that day has come!  I used to love sleek, modern looks, but I find them stark now.  My mom's house is so homey and I want that, too.  I'm a little more eclectic than her and I like to mix in some modern and girly touches, but still, I suppose the apple hasn't fallen too far from the tree in this case.

Yes, that's a great book. I actually bought that for my mom a few years ago for Christmas.
