Inexpensive skinny jeans?
Permalink Closed

I have a couple of pairs of J Brands in dark shades, and now I'm looking for an inexpensive pair (under $30). Any recs?? I'm 5'3" and a size 0, and my main challenge with jeans is not looking like a have a flat butt (which I do)

Have you tried Gap recently?  I only suggest their skinny jeans because alot of people seem to be having good luck with them, and I cannot wear them because my ass won't fit - double score for you!

Others to try might be A&E, PacSun, Express, and BDG at UO.

Maybe Forever 21? I've had some success with Old Navy skinnies but they don't do justice to my bum.

I would go to TJ maxx or Marshall's -- I actually found some clearance calvin klein skinnies I really like for $20. They have tons of high end brands too -- look in the clearance racks for the best deals.

I like D's idea of TJ/Marshalls, but also check Target.  Sometimes their skinnies are good too.

I have a flat bum too and hate that extra butt flap a lot of jeans give me. My best skinny jeans are Target and Forever 21. The Target are less stretchy and are more of a straight leg than suction cup skinny jean. The Forever 21 are more of a true skinny. A lot of stretch and a bit of sagging by the end of the day, but not too bad. They snap back after a few minutes in the dryer too. My advice is to try on a lot of jeans at either store. Each pair seems to fit differently, even within the same rack.

For reference, I'm 5' 4 and a half and usually a size 4 or a 27.

I live in Forever 21 Skinny jeans.  They are seriously better than any designer pair I've tried on.  The ones I love are $12.50, which are sold out online, but I saw them in stores last week.

I have the Lauren Conrad pair from Khol's...they're always on sale for about $35 and you might be able to find a coupon as well

I'm a J Brand fan also, nothing makes the rear view look better IMO. I am toying with the idea of combating the Forever 21 jean sag by taking in the waist. For me that is the biggest annoyance...they fit at the begining of the day but after sitting in a chair all morning I'm hiking them up.

I had the same issue with Gap. DD and I are on our way to Gap now. They do say there is a new fit on the skinny jeans. We'll see.

and wear them a lot.  like a lot, a lot. the styling is very similar to j. brands, but they're jeggings so they are super comfy.

A follow up to my earlier post. I tried on James James in the Tiggy style yesterday and they fit great. I'm pretty sure they were jeggings, which is why I didn't get them, but they fit the waist and rear perfectly. They were on the sales rack at Anthro for about $80. I would have taken my usual size in them. HTH!

Try A&F. Got a pair from A&F outlet for $19.99 and the fit is good. But of course my jbrand is better....
