*UPDATE* Dress Front Runner!

I went to a dress shop and found this dress today - it's more than I wanted to spend but if I don't find something I love as much for less, I think I'm gonna go for it!



What do you think?





*UPDATE* So the shop owner finally got ahold of Henry Roth today - they won't shorten the bodice or the skirt for me from the factory .  BUT, the owner said that because the dress isn't too complicated in shape that the seamstress could do it for me at the store and they have a $350 maximum for alterations!  I have a couple more places to look before I decide for sure (I have been painfully unsuccessful at 3 other shops so far) but unless I find something that truly can compete with this, this one might just be it!

Oh Wow it's so pretty! I love the sparkle to it. It's like a princess dress but without the poof!

Yup, that's me!  They're going to have to whack almost 6 inches off the length and shorten the waist a bit though - I wish I was as tall as I look in those pics!

hey...have you tried NetBride or Pearl's Place? If they carry your manufacturer, and you're sure of your size, you can get it for MUCH cheaper. My dress retailed for about $1200 and I think it was only $550 through NetBride.

It's Henry Roth, who doesn't sell through ANY internet dealers :sad:.  Anyway, they'd have to make it to my measurements at the factory since I'm so short - having it altered would completely change the shape of the dress, so they are actually going to have to make it to my (5'2") scale.  She hasn't called with a price for the custom-size (no news is good news?) so I'm still technically on the hunt.  I did however get the go-ahead from FH if I reeeeaaallly want it, so we'll see!
