Jewelry shopping on E-bay...
Permalink Closed

A lot of you have posted jewelry you've bought from E-bay, and I always love what you girls find! Here's the problem: I don't know how to search for jewelry on E-bay to find great stuff like you ladies do. Could everyone maybe post the keywords they search by, or the E-Bay sellers they like to buy from who usually have good stuff? Thank you so much!!

I usually just type in a general idea of what I want (ex. coral earrings) and then when I find something cute I look at other items from that seller.

the key is patience- there is so much crap! try checking out the designer jewelry section, there are a lot of one of a kind pieces ("OOAK") and i think more quality than the general catagories. be specific about what youre looking for when searching- or just browse thru the stuff about to end and scope out some good deals! good luck ebaying!

you really do have to be somewhat specific when you do a search. i usually search by material (i.e. vintage glass beaded necklace or lucite bracelet) you will still get hundreds and hundreds of results back and this is where having patience comes in. there is one gem for every few hundred or so pieces of junk so you'll need some time to sit down and sift through the listings.

good luck and have fun!

Ok, everyone is making it sound so hopeless! Yes, it needs to be specific - but if you are like me, you don't know EXACTLY what you want until you see it! So I did do that ridiculous weeding through large categories (actually for vintage things) - then I found several sellers that I liked a lot of their stuff, added them to my favorites. Now I just search those on occasion unless i have patience, which I never do!
