i fell in love with this when i first saw it but quickly dismissed it because i thought, "i'll buy this and only wear it a few times because it's too fancy". however i cannot stop thinking about it and all it's gorgeous beauty. i wish i could post the pic of it on the model becuase this mannequin shot doesn't do it justice. anyway... do you think i could dress it down in any way? make it more casual? i'm thinking with denim and a sparkly michael stars tee casual... can it work? any other ideas?

Yes, I definitely think you could dress it down - jeans or a casual skirt. And if you can't stop thinking about it, you should get it!

It's so lovely! I think you should get it. It doesn't look so fancy, and I think you could definetly dress it down. Wear it like you would any cardigan, and I think it will be fine!

I looove that cardi/shrug. I would wear it with an outfit like this for a rocker casual look, but I'm not sure if it is your style.

I agree that it would look great with a pair of funky flats. I would wear a simple wife beater and jeans with it. If you can't get it off of your mind def. get it.

absolutely with jeans! jeans and a simple top under with jeans, casual skirts, corduroy gauchos... go for it... 


btw - I love the sweater your husband got you.  I haven't shopped downtown b'ham in a while - still need to check out DWR... I'm going to do some fall shopping soon...  I'm afraid if I wait until mid-august that there will be nothing left!

thanks, girls.

after i posted this and then later started reading the responses i was like, "of course i can wear it like that!" but i loved everyone's suggestions... even the rocker style stuff amelie posted... although the vision in my head of me wearing an ac/dc tee makes me laugh really hard. it's so NOT me that i love it and might be willing to try it with maybe a run dmc tee or kool moe dee t-shirt instead.

i was just at anthro earlier today, but i didn't see the sweater in store yet. darn, i wanted to try it on and purchase it! has anyone tried it on yet?

detroit - get yer butt on over to dwr... and anthropologie is only 2 doors down (which makes it such a dangerous area for me)
