I am going to a wedding next weekend and CAN NOT seem to find anything to wear.  I really didnt want to spend any money but this is the first event I will go to with my new BF and i will see a lot of girls from college, so I really want to look and feel great!  That being said, what do you all think of this BCBG dress?

If you do like it, how would you accessorize it?  I already have gold and bronze shoes, if that helps...


If you don't like it, do you have any other suggestions for a dress thats not too sexy for a wedding, but not to prim and proper either.  Preferebly no pastels as they make me look really washed out, and no big skirts.  oh and under $100.


Oh- also how do BCBG dresses run?  I usually wear a 4 in almost every store, but am concerned because the size is 4P?

I like the cut / shape, but I think the colors look a but too somber for a wedding.  :(

I think its a cute dress.  It looks a little dark but it maybe the pic.  Someone on here works at BCBG and probably can tell you all about the dress.  I can't remember who but if you search the past topics for "BCBG sale" and see who posted the topic you can see who works there and who to pm

I think it's lovely! I don't think it's too dark, of course I prefer to wear black to weddings.  I would wear gold shoes and I think pearl jewelry (ie chandelier earrings OR different strands of necklaces) would look really pretty. I would suggest a wrap, but I can't think of a color... it would be too hard to match so something that coordinates like light blue or aqua.


I think BCBG runs very true to size, if not a little big in dresses. I think you would be fine in a 4P, of course I'm 5'10.5 and wearing petites has never really been an option for me

that dress is very pretty on.  just make sure that the seller has the brown belt that goes with it, it's not shown in the picture (as there will be belt loops).  also, the only other things i know about that dress are that it had a tendency to rip at the chest area, so make sure it's in good shape and you don't have a HUGE chest compared to your waist.  summer wore it on the o.c.

When I worked at BCBG I found that this dress was hard to fit on lots of different body types. Now that doesn't mean that it wouldn't work on you, I would just hate for you to get it from e-bay and then it wouldn't work.

thanks so much for all of your input!  i too am worried about getting this from ebay and then it not fitting.  i am pretty small in the chest (b cup) so i dont think that would be a problem, but now that i see the pic of the dress on, im worried it will be a little short.  i usually prefer my dresses to hit right below the knee.  im pretty short (5'4") so hopefully it will be a little longer on me.  i think i will try to get it, as long as the bidding doesn't go too high, and if it doesn't fit or the colors look too dark once i get it, i can always sell it back.


if it doesnt work out, i also really liked the burgandy colored dress someone posted yesterday from ann taylor loft.  i might check that out this weekend...
