I think it would be a lot of fun to do that on your birthday! There is also this place (my fifty year old aunt just told me about it) that you can go and everyone is a drag queen. It's like a bar/club type of place...I can't remember the name of it though...it's really popular...I could ask her if you want.

Also, if you aren't deadset on going to NYC, there's a restaurant in Hillburn, New York (right off route 17 near suffern, NY) that is EXCELLENT for birthdays. It's called Mount Fuji. It's a Japanese Hibachi restaurant (where they cook in front of you at your table). It's really a lot of fun and have had many of my birthdays and bf birthday's there too. If you need more info let me know!

Is that the Japanese place on the mountain that you can see from the Thruway? I grew up right by there and my dad kept promising to take the family there...it looks so cool from the outside.

Yup that's the place. It really is very cool and I recommend to anyone that lives in that area to go if you haven't already. It's really great! I know people hate getting sung to on their birthday at restaurants (myself included) but it's really fun at this place!

That is a great place!!!  That is basically the next town over from me.  Make sure you call ahead and say it's a birthday.  I won't tell you what happens, but it's embarrassing (in a good way).

JMR - the birthday singing IS kind of embarrassing, but it's so much fun you won't even think about it! It's really very humorous!

Thanks Ladies - that place sounds like fun - but since it will be me and a bunch of my friends and we all live in the city, it's a little too far (Although my hubbie's bday is coming up - maybe I should take HIM there!!)
