Ugh. This happened to me a few weeks ago. My ex-bf from hs (we only dated 3 months, the summer before we went away to college, but I had known him on a casual acquiantance level for a few years and we went to prom together) called me out of nowhere. I hadn't really talked to him in four years! He wanted to meet up with me at a party, but I couldn't, then he suggested lunch sometime next week. We never met up though because I didn't call and neither did he. I didn't change my plans around at all and was too busy for lunch anyway, plus I had no desire to see him (he isn't a bad guy, just annoying and he gets on my nerves.) but still- it was sort of annoying that he didn't call back if he called me first and suggested it. He's just one of those guys that likes to play games- he wants to think he's breaking my heart by not calling me back. Oh boo hoo, I could care less. But yea, it is a totally unnecessary reminder of your past.
boys from the past suck... a similar thing happened to me (i posted about this). boy appears out of nowhere, we go out twice, then he falls back off the face of the planet. i didn't call him after the 2nd date, b/c i'd already called him after the first. wtf! why waste my time, those are precious hours i can't get back. i could've been finding a cure for the common cold -- or in reality shopping.

He probably would have alternately tried to hook up with me and tried to make me feel bad for him and his failed relationship. On the positive side, I got to watch 2 new episodes of the Family Guy last night. I love the Family Guy! If it weren't for this guy making plans with me and then bailing, I would not have gotten to experience the fabulousness of Family Guy last night. It is all worth it.
hahahahaha!!!! I love Family Guy!!! It rocks and is sooooo funny. If you substituted a crummy evening with an evening of raucous laughter, it was all worth it, don't you think?
