Join my no-buying-fall-clothes-until-October ban!

Every year I buy a ton of fall clothes WAY before it's cold enough to wear them.  I then get sick of them and want to buy more clothes by the time I can actually wear fall clothes.  Furthermore, all the stuff I bought in July or August goes on sale.  Now that I am seeing fall clothes or "pre"-fall clothes, I am trying to stay strong and wait.  Does anyone else feel this way?  Does anyone want to band with me to fight the temptation of gorgeous fall clothing until October?


NO...FALL...CLOTHES...UNTIL...OCTOBER!!!!!

Sure!  And in my ban, you can buy all the summer clothes you want.  You just can't buy fall clothes.  And you probably won't buy any clothes in Sept. because summer is over and you can't buy fall clothes yet.

i'm in, but with restrictions. i'm only allowed to buy key items i've been wanting (a new winter coat and a nice bag), and i start in august. the same thing happens to me. i'm usually pretty good about waiting until october (b/c i usually wait until my bday). but right after i have a big bday blow out all these stores have sales and/or they're a plethora of sample sales and i'm out of cash. but this year i will be strong.

I'm in!  I was just thinking about this today and how there is no need to buy clothes before October b/c it's still just too hot here to wear any of them.  This ban came at a good time!

Real summer weather has not arrived yet, so it's cooler out.  I definintly will need fall clothes before October!  Like I said before, easier said than done!  I cannot go two weeks without purchasing a clothing item.

Ohh.  You brought up a good point.  My no-buying-fall-clothes-until-October ban would probably only work in certain regions of the US.  I live in NJ.

we can do it. i'm sure you have a ton of stuff in your closet from last fall. plus it doesn't really get cold until late in oct.

I'm in!  I don't think I'll need fall clothes until then.  I'm really trying to be disciplined (I have tons of stuff I don't wear) so I think i'm going to try to make this a total clothing/accessory ban.

Well, it definitely applies in PA where it will be scorching hot until October. I'm still in!

I'm in too. Especially since I just dropped a two-week paycheck buying my puppy and all his accessories!


I am also trying to drop some lbs in the next couple months. So I shouldn't be buying clothes that will (hopefully) be too big in a few months anyway, right?
