i am SO late in sending a thank-you to my friend who i stayed with for three nights in Boston about two months ago, mostly because i have been trying to figure out what to send.  i absolutely must put it in the mail this weekend because i alreday feel like i am so rude. 


i am a little bit broke at the moment, but i think i want to just send her a little something. i already spent about $35/$40 on teas and chocolates and things from dean & deluca that i brought with me when i showed up.  can you help me think of something in the $30 range that would be a thoughtful small gift? everything i have found that i like for her is about $50/$60 and i'm thinking that might be silly and excessive since i already brought a gift when i showed up at her door.  help!

Can you just send her a small summery bouquet? I love getting fresh flowers - especially when they are unexpected.

I think a thank you card would be more than enough, since you already brought her stuff. But if you want to get her something else, I love scented candles, I can never have enough. Or maybe a diffuser.

I think Lakens idea is good. I always welcomed fresh flowers and like she said they are a nice surprise.
