Favorite Drug Store Finds
Permalink Closed

I'm a firm believer that you don't have to pay a lot of money for good quality products, so I'm interested in hearing what your favorite drug store finds are.

Some of my favorite stuff I found at my local CVS are:

Dove Smooth & Soft Anti-Frizz Cream: It's so great! So light and wieghtless that it's perfect for the summer. It wont make your hair oily, but it's not too great for keeping your hair from poofiing up in the humidity. But it does keep it from being frizzy.

Aveeno Positively Smooth Moisturizing Lotion: This is the best body lotion I've ever tried! It doesnt have the yummy scents of the more expensive lotions, but its super light and absorbs quickly. It's also supposed to make your hair grow back slower, I'm not exactly sure if it works, but either way it helps keep my legs smooth.

$7.99

Maybelline Blush in Raspberry Whisper: It's an older product, so I couldnt find a picture of the one I have, but I really love this blush! It looks really dark and bright in the container, but it goes on looking really natural. It also has a little bit of shimmer in it, so it gives a great glow. $5.49

Cover Girl Smoothers Eye Liner in Sterling Sage: Now usually blues and greens dont look good with my eye color (dark dark brown), but this eyeliners looks amazing! I put it on underneath my eyes for a fun funky look. I like it so much, I'm thinkig about getting another one in a purple color and maybe a blue.
$5.79

Wet 'n' Wild nail polish: I swear by this stuff! It's actually a great consistency so it's easy to put on, and it couldn't be any cheaper! It's only
99 cents!. I get them in lots of funky colors because even if you wear it a couple of times, it only set you back a buck!

What are your favorite drug store finds?

Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner. This is great becomes in lots of colors and stays on forever. I got all my friends, sisters, and mom hooked on this.

Aveeno Skin Relief Mousturixing Lotion with Cooling Menthol. It's not too heavy and I love the cool, tingly menthol.

St. Ives Collagen Elastin Body Wash and Body Lotion. I swear by these... they smell awesome, the lotion is rich but not greasy and  absorbs quick and they both keep your skin super hydrated.

Charles Worthington Big Hair Line at Walgreens. I sometimes uses the shampoo, conditioner, and mousse because they really 'pump up the volume.'

mascara!  i like the drugstore brands better than any of the department store ones.  i am a major addict, so i have tried all of them.  my current fave is the cover girl one that comes in a silver tube with royal blue top (totally blanking on the name right now), and the waterproof version of it has a blue tube and silver cap.  i also love loreal lash out.

I like:

St Ives Apricot Scrub
St Ives Body wash, especially the citrus one.
Ombra Body Wash, all scents.
Johnsons Baby Lotion (do not accept cheap imitations)
Palmers Cocoa Butter Lotion.
Cover girl Smoothers Tinted Moist. spf 15
Most Neutrogena Products(Skin Cleariing Cream with Retinol, etc)

If I think of more I will add but those are some of the things I buy over and over. And I am out of Palmers but I am on the shopping ban.

Does the Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner really stay put?  Right now I use Almay Amazing Lasting 16 hour eye pencil and it smudges under my eyes and I notice it getting in the creases of my eyelids.  I'm looking for a different eyeliner...is the Revlon one really great??

I love Aveeno's Positively Radiant Facial Cleanser. It smells so good. I also like the facial scrub.

THey also have a body wash that I haven't tried yet, but if it smells as good as the facial cleanser, I might just have to get it.

I also like Max Factor's 2000 Calorie Mascara in Deep Auburn. Being a redhead, it's hard to find mascara that's not too harsh.

  • Jordana Clear Lip Gloss.  Only $1.99 & it smells like yellow cake.

  • J&J Baby Wash--keeps my skin soft.

  • QHMJ Mask (a true favorite for me).

  • Za Waterproof Mascara.  The only drugstore waterproof mascara I swear by.

  • Nivea Creme--great hand creme to keep skin soft.

I LOVE all of Montagne Jeunesse's products.  I'm a huge fan of the face tonics... they're like pieces of cloth dipped in moisturizers and cleansers that just sit on your face for a bit.  It's the easiest, best mask I've used.  Plus, all of the products are dirt cheap - we're talkin under $2.  Montagne Jeunesse

The L'Oreal PureZone toner, moisturizer, and face wash.  The moisturizer is actually the only moisturizer I can wear without feeling oily.

Revlon Lash Fantasy mascara

Almay eye make-up remover pads.  I LOVE these.  There is no substitute for me.  Other eye make-up removers feel so greasy to me.  When I used to use Lancome make-up, they always gave me free samples of their stuff and I would use it if I was completely out of Almay and I thought it felt so gross.
