Do any of you visit blogs often? I am tired of looking at the same ole thing every day - Well, other than this site!! But I want to fulfill my voyeurism without having to work too hard & read a ton of stuff to find interesting people / things....lazy I know, but I also trust your opinions....

If not blogs, are there other sites other than fashion that you visit often?

I am currently on a hiatus, but I watch the Young and the Restless.  I also belong to a Y&R forum.  I like it, especially since I have not watched the show in a month because it lets me know what is going on.  I am sure there are forums for other tv shows too.

i know a lot of girls on the forum like dooce (www.dooce.com) i'm particularly interested in pop culture stuff, and my sense of humor verves towards the darker side,  so i read gawker (www.gawker.com) & defamer (www.defamer.com) a lot. they're both run by the same person nick denton, and gawker is nyc-centric while defamer focuses on la. i also read www.whatevs.org but he's kind of fallen off with his posting. another interesting site i like is opinionistas (http://opinionistas.blogspot.com/) she's a lawyer in nyc and really funny. i also read some music sites that link to various mp3's, i like stereogum (www.stereogum.com) the majority of his links are of the indie-rock variety, but it's a cool way to explore new music, though some of the people who comment seriously make me gag with all their pretention. catchdubs (www.catchdubs.com) is more hip-hop oriented, but he posts some interesting links, and through him i found out about m.i.a. and i seriously love her cd. television without pity (www.televisionwithoutpity.com) is a great time waster. lots of snarky re-caps of tv shows, and the people in the forums are hilarious. lastly i read the black table (www.blacktable.com) they do a lot of interesting articles, and every tuesday they do the black list where people post reviews of various things. it's definitely opinionated (and if you're politics are more conservative you may not get as much of a kick out of it b/c the reviews tend to be from a liberal perspective i.e. one of the most memorable reviews was from a girl who hooked up with some guy who was high up in the bush campaign, unbeknownst to her) but there's some funny stuff in there. what's worked best for me (in terms of wasting the workday away) has been clicking on links from sites that i like. it's a really easy way to wade through stuff.

This first one is my friend.  I think he would freak out to see a bunch of people visit his site.  I don't know how entertaining he is to the masses, but he cracks me up.  At least give it a visit once.

This second one is melissa from The Real World and Girls Behaving Badly fame.  I actually laugh hard out loud a work reading hers.   I love her sense of humor.

i'm not sure if this counts as a blog, but www.overheardinnewyork.com is classic. as is www.engrish.com, which posts instances of poor English grammar/spelling overseas, predominantly in asia (i've had firsthand experience with most of the stuff on that site so it's hilarious to me ). some snarky gossip ones are www.perezhilton.com and jolienyc.blogspot.com.  www.thesuperficial.com is a good one from an ubermale perspective (read:thinks with penis)

I haven't looked at Melissa's yet, although she is probably my favorite Real World person - but I looked at your friend's & I have to say it's very funny. I can't wait to see what else happens...

Wow!  I'm glad you liked it.  He is so funny to me.  I wondered what a stranger would say.
