I am so embarassed to say that I watched this - but my disclaimer is that it came on right after Real World, so it was just on!!! But man I could win that show. I thought some of their clothes & shoes were groovy. Is it wrong that I already know how to do the hustle??? My DH thought so!!! Thus why I wouldn't qualify I suppose - I am too old. I about died when that girl said she had never seen an 8 track??? Are you girls THAT young? Man I'm old. My mom had "tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree" by Tony Orlando & Dawn on 8 track - I totally remember that!!!!!

In the same vain as this embarassing confession, I also laughed so hard at Pimp my Ride last week when I "accidentally" saw it too. It's when they pimped the girl's $300 Pacer & found a rat - great tv moment!!!!

I am turning 30 this year so while I don't actually remember a lot of the stuff from the 70's, I was totally familiar with all of it and I love retro.  I thought it was a shame that the kids on the show seemed so appalled and so ignorant of the decade.  I assume these kids came of age in the 90's.


I like fondue too and it seemed like the fondue they served was nasty!  The show could have shown some more respect to the 70's by serving fondue like it was meant to be.


I like the show for the nostalgia, but I do not like the host Dawn, she is pretty annoying.

i haven't seen the show but i can't believe some kids don't know what an 8 track is!  my best friend in college even had a volvo with an 8 track player and we used to drive around (when the volvo ran) listening to peter, paul and mary!

I didn't catch the 70s House, but I did see that Pimp My Ride! So gross with the mounds of rat poo under the seats. I can understand not being able to afford a new car, but for the love of pete, get yourself a rat trap or poison or something!

Anyway, I fully admit that I watch that show. I find Xzibit hilariously funny.

I've never held an 8-track in my hand but I will say that we still have a reel-to-reel in my living room which I think came before the 8-track.
