Is hair crimping in or out? I've seen a few girls with few stands crimped in their hair. (There was also a chick on the show Real World Austin who crimped her hair as well.) What are your thoughts? If it's in, what's the correct way to do it?

I think it's cute if its done tastefully. I have long hair and when I want to crimp it I wet my hair (entire head) and do a tight french braid. Undo it when it's dry, and it's entirely crimped.

I use to crimp my hair sometimes in grade school.  That's how I did my hair one year for pictures and I was holding a stupid huge crayon prop.  It looks cool if you have the right look going on.  If you have thinner hair, it can give you some volume.  If you have a lot of hair and crimp it all, it can look like a frizzy mess.  I think it's best to first try the look on a day you don't have something to do just in case it doesn't turn out the way you hoped!
