Or anywhere that is discounted? Anyone have good recommendations or links to solid colored sheets that are really nice quality for not too much money? I think I want white sheets or a really pale blue or green. Homewares are not my forte.
we buy all our sheets at overstock.com. i would just look at thread count (i do 400+ sateen....which wrinkles but feels so nice). i find that colored sheets are the hardest to find, the white seem the easiest.

overstock and bluefly sell brands like frette. a frette 300 thread count feels way different from any other 300 thread count out there. i think it's the quality of fiber used (not just the t.c.). my problem is trying to find a matching set on those sites. how do you feel about hotel bedding? bluefly sells alot of that.

Is Frette nice? Sorry, I know NOTHING about sheets except that people like high thread counts. I agree though that I think its the fiber too- I have sheets that are only like 220 count and I think they're super soft! So I'm not sure exactly what the fuss is over 1000 count sheets.
frette is very nice.. it's like super-duper luxurious and they usually do mostly custom orders. for a while bluefly used to sell their hotel bedding really cheap, but i just checked and a king sheet set was like $900 so funk dat!
go to macy's too. i always go to macy's for bedding and they have deep discounts on calvin klein and things like that. i also know alot of people who buy their sheets on overstock and are very happy with them. i mean it's the kinda thing you use probably more than a really nice pair of heels so why not splurge? maybe not a grand.. but like $300.
shipping is only $2 on overstock, so worst case senario, you have to return them.

I've never bought on there but I have bought sheets from Linens 'n things and they are fabulous. They are sateen. Not sure the brand but I can try to find the tag if you are interested. They weren't too expensive either. BB&B carries the same types of stuff L'nT carries plus I always get 20% off coupons in the mail.
Also if you have an outlet mall nearby check them out for Ralph Lauren sheets. They feel great and last for a long time too. You can get them cheap at the outlet mall.
