WW people - where to get products?
Permalink Closed

I wasn't sure where to post this, I figured more Weight Watchers people may see it in this section - when I used to go to meetings there was a set of long handled spoons that were different measurements, such as a stirring / dipping spoon that held 1 cup of food - do any of you know what I'm talking about or what these are called? I tried searching "measuring spoons" on ebay & a general google search - but I am getting tons of normal measuring spoons as you would expect. I searched the WW site & got nothing - looks like they would rather you go to meetings than sell their products online. Also didn't see it on dwlz.com. I just think this is such a great idea because I can measure out a cup of chili or soup or whatever without dirtying (is that even a word??) additional dishes.... TIA

a set of measuring cups would do the same thing. also, anyone can go buy stuff from a WW center- you dont have to be a member or go to a meeting. I know they have similar things at places like linens-n-things though too.

Technically I know it will do the same thing, but I liked the idea of the long spoon - like a normal ladle, etc so you don't have to reach way in the pot or use an additional dish - you know what I mean? I guess I can just get regular measuring cups - what i have right now is
which won't work at all to "dip" out things or a pyrex 3 cup one, so I have to scoop out food, put in measuring cup, then dump into bowl / plate. These let you use the measuring thing as a spoon also - I'm all about washing less dishes! If that makes any sense at all. I don't own "regular" measuring cups & I figured if I have to buy something new it may as well be exactly what I want. I guess it does make me sound like a prima donna, though, doesn't it?

lol! no, i totally know what you mean about the spoon part- it really doesn make it easier. I hate making extra dishes too...I know that my ladle is 1/2 cup so i usually just go by that. I'll see if i can find any of the spoon thngs online.

edit: williams sonoma has some measureing cups on longer handles..it wont let me post a link but you can search for measure and they come up.

I think your idea is great but I haven't ever heard or it nor seen it!  I just use normal measuring cups to measure stuff in and pour out.  It sucks that you have to dirty the cup up but it works for me.  If you don't have any go to TJ Maxx you can get a set of 10 cups & spoons for $2.99
