My friends and I are planning a camping trip on the beach to either North Carolina or Virginia (sometime in August). What do you wear on a beach camping trip? I haven't been camping in about 15 years, so I'm clueless! Help, please. Thanks.
I see JCrew all the way. Cute tanks, tees, with shorts and capris. Then bring a sweatshirt and a cute sweater to cover up at night when it gets chilly! I also would bring flip flops by reef, teva, or rainbow. Some running shoes too. Have fun!
I'd go very, very casual - tank tops, casual shorts (denim or like exercise-type shorts), flip flops or tennis shoes. Maybe a casual cotton skirt for the daytime (not sure if you're just night camping or will be there for day and night).
I'd also bring something like a Yoga pant for nighttime if it gets cold, and some sort of hoodie. It's been several years since I did this, and I was in CA / Mexico, but I'd assume the same type of clothing is still what's worn. Most of the girls just ran around in their suits all day (with some type of cover up on the bottom if they weren't in the water) and then did loose cotton pants / hoodie if necessary at night.
Have fun! I miss the days when I used to do that.

I would keep it simple and just pack a bunch of tank tops, short-sleeved shirts, jeans, hooides, capris, shorts, and bathing suits. I would want most of the things to be able to be mixed and matched because I wouldn't imagine I would have a lot of time and privacy to put too much effort into my outfits. I would also bring going out outfits if you are planning on going out at night. Even if we weren't planning on going out at night, I would bring at least one nice outfit because everytime I go somewhere thinking I don't need a nice outfit, I end up needing a nice outfit.
