I really love that bag and 70% off is a great deal. I think that if you would still want it even if it was full price (whether you could afford it or not) and you aren't just being swayed by the sale price, that you should seriously consider getting it.

I would charge it and then pay it off immediately. That's what I do sometimes when I don't have the cash right away. I just make to I pay it off as soon as I get the bill.

ETA: I know that teal will still be big in the fall, if that helps your decision at all.

If you have two other nice bags that are also totes, I would not get this. It sounds to me like you're blinded by the 70%.

How much is it with 70% off? If it is over $300, I would stay away. If not, you could always sell it on eBay later.

I could be wrong but it doesn't really sound like you love that particular bag. If that's the case I would not buy it. Wait until you can find a bag you really adore - and that you can carry as a shoulder bag.

i was blinded by a boutique of mine that had MJ bags for 40% off... that was the rational i was using to buy mine. but i ended up doing. but i still think it is a good idea.

Please get the bag so I can live vicariously through you. It's such a beautiful color and 70% off is a pretty good deal. Like bex says, if you have second thoughts about it you can always e-bay it.

is it final sale? If not, I'd get it, and wait until 7/21. If you love it, pay it off then. If not, return it. That is a beautiful color!

I don't really care for MJ and I've sene bags in that color in person...the color would've been really difficult to work around. I wouldn't do it personally...I don't think MJ bags are worth the money.

I dont think this particular bag is perfect for you.

I am a MJ FANATIC and this is not my favorite bag or my favorite color.

The color is a little off in person.. and these straps will definately NOT fit over your shoulder.

Also this style, Venetia is VERY heavy, so if you do a lot of walking, subway and such.. this bag is a PITA to carry!

This is an amazing deal though, so if I were you I would go and check out the sale and if you do see something you LOVE then absolutely get it.. Just charge it and pay it off right away.

thanks for all the input ladies, i knew i could count on you guys. the bag would be $292 assuming that they're 70% off. i'm going to try to go to saks on monday and see it in person, but i think i'll probably end up waiting until the 21st regardless.

I think for $300 you should wait and get a bag you absolutely love. I don't feel that from reading your post that you truely love this bag and its worth blowing the budget to you. I also hate bags that I cannot put on my shoulder and you mentioned you wanted it on the shoulder so I would wait.
