Wow! Could they neglect their customers anymore? I'm including the email I sent and the response, it's mind boggling!

Is there any way that you can do a storewide search for me on the item
kalidescope-print sarong that sold out on your website?  My local BR
store does not have it!  I absolutely MUST have this item but the store told
me I needed a style number, which I don't have.  Thank you very much!

I'm about to call the 800 number and see what they have to say!

I've actually contacted Banana Republic's customer service several times to locate an item for me.  However, I've never emailed them.  I recommend giving them a call and I'm sure they'd be much more helpful.  In the past, when items are sold out online I'd just give them a call and give them the item #, color and size.  Usually, if they don't have it in their warehouse they are actually willing to call the stores near you and you can either pick them up, or they can ship them to you (free of charge with the Luxe card).  It definitely helps if you have a Luxe card - they are always extremely helpful locating items for me.  Hopefully they are just as nice despite that though.  Good luck!

It sounds like they didn't bother to read your email.  I would just call around some banana republics yourself to see if you can find it.  I'm not sure if they'd be able to pull it up now that its not on the web anymore.  Are there any on eBay- maybe you could get the style number that way if you don't feel like buying it on eBay.

Oh, man! They sent me the same exact email except I was looking for the blue chevron halter top that sold out and apparently never made it to any of the nearby stores! I got kinda eh about it b/c they didn't answer my question. I don't even have the style number either so I have no idea how they would be able to locate my item. I tried eBay -- no luck there.
