I am not complaining, but they never cease to amaze me. They already have Fall stuff on their website (some of it really cute I might add) and some of it is ALREADY on sale!!!
I am thinking about getting this jacket in green tweed for Fall and it is down to $49.99 from $72. Even thought I am on a shopping ban, I am almost tempted to go ahead and order it.
in my experience most dept. stores like jcpenney, sears, macy's, etc. never actually charge full price. there's always a sale, but no matter how they configure it, the price stays the same.
I agree most department stores put stuff on sale quickly and rarely charge full price. The only thing though is that it is early to put something on sale for fall. Maybe this is last season's left overs? As long as its a basic or not too trendy don't worry about it and get what you like. I like the jacket's shape and color but the 4 pockets are a little too much for me but it may not be bad on.
But aren't you waiting to shop for fall clothes???

Yep that's it in a nut shell! Wait two weeks, there's a coupon $10 off if you spend $50 in the store.

You HAD to remind me!!! Yes I am going to wait, but that sale price really tempted me there for a moment. It has been my experience with JCP that if I wait long enough, I will probably be able to get the jacket for $25.
Yeah, department stores like that are all about the mark-up. They mark everything way up and then say that it's on sale, so you think you're getting a deal. But the sale price is actually the price they want. It's a great marketing ploy.
