how do i remove a song from a playlist?  honestly, am i that much of an idiot?  i thought i had some kind of common technology sense...

I only know how to do it in iTunes, not directly from the iPod.  For iTunes, just go to your iPod playlist and delete the song.  Then sync up your iPod to you computer and it will update your iPod playlist, with the song gone from your iPod....
