Office gauchos??
Permalink Closed

I have the UO knit gauchos in nutmeg.
I haven't worn them yet because I am trying to figure out how to dress them up for the office.

My office isn't totally strict, just business casual, and a lot of people bend the rules. I usually try to look professional and do not like to look sloppy at all.

Any suggestions on how I can dress these pants up, AND look somewhat conservative?

Thanks!!

I wore mine to the office.  I wore them with a printed cotton blouse (kind of a work-appropriate cami/sleeveless top) and a denim blazer.  If denim doesn't work, you could wear them with a cardigan or a twill blazer.

forgive the blatant self promotion, but i just did an article using those gauchos as workwear. here's the link, it's the second outfit.

i wear mine to work all the time. i think the easiest way to make them work friendly is to pair them with structured shoes.  peep-toes, or flats would work well, though i would probably not go with a ballet flat, since that might be too casual. another look i like that i'll probably wear to work soon is something similar to this

Damsel Knit Gaucho using the belt to cinch the shirt in at the waist. (i'm going to do this with a braided leather belt, but couldn't find one) hope that helps.
