do you have quirky games you play when you're bored?

My college roomate and I are kind of quirky friends.  Our senior year, we had a great view of the sidewalk going into our apt complex and we could sit for hours playing our people-watching games.  It transfered to other places and we found it makes time waiting for tables/ food at restaurants pass a lot faster if we played there.

Here are our favorites:

1.  Can only be fun if you know all of the same people (so it's good if you are in college).  We would "cast" everyone we saw as someone else we knew.  A lot of the fun came in when we had to "mate" people we knew to cast the strangers--like on Conan.

2.  Can be fun with anyone--doesn't require that you know the same people.  Give the people you see names.  Like, "that guy's Arnold.  His wife is Estelle", and if you want, you can make up things about their life.  You have to be creative with this one, and it's bizarre to see how some of your friends just have a natural knack for naming people totally appropriate names and other friends will fail miserably (but sometimes theirs are the funniest--like calling someone frank when they are clearly an omar).

So, does anyone else have anything fun you do--alone or with people--that helps time pass?

I don't know if this counts, but back when I used to go to the laundromat a lot I was convinced I could figure out people's lives by their laundry. I would secretly watch them folding their clean laundry and determine what their home life was like, how many kids they had, what they did for a living, whether they were married or had a boyfriend, etc. I never actually found out if I was right about any of it, but it helped pass the time...

I will no longer stress about being crazy. This is the weirdest game I've ever heard of!!! You are a freak, ejc423. In a good way, of course.

Once my friend and I sat at the mall waiting for someone and we found future versions of all our friends in the people that were walking by. Like, "hey, that's Greg in 20 years." Greg was the quarterback of the football team and the guy we pointed at was fat and bald. It was actually pretty mean, now that I think about. I probably shouldn't have told that story... We don't do it anymore!

If we're waiting outside for our food at a restaurant, we'll try to guess what color the next car that passes will be.  Lame, I know.

OK I will admit to some weird games that I play with my sister, usually over IM.

We often do "would you rather" and pose two different scenarios, usually involving something disgusting. For some reason the other night we were talking about weddings and so we started doing "would you rather's" about reception music. Like "Would you rather have your first dance be to 'We are Family,' 'Wooly Bully,' or the theme song from 'Friends' " We also have a game called "Choose your husband/boyfriend/hookup" which usually involves us trying to come up with a list of either 3 really repulsive guys that we know or a group of 3 amazing and attractive guys, thus making it a very difficult choice.
