Saw this somewhere else (can't remember where) and it was pretty funny. Post the first 10 songs that come up on the "shuffle"/random command on your ipod/mp3. No cheating!

Not to be stupid, but how do I shuffle the songs on my iPod? I have songs selected under shuffle in the settings, but when I look at my song list, it's in alpha order. Sorry... I am hopelessly bad with gadgets.

It should be just under the main menu, which should have Music, Extras, Settings, Shuffle Songs, Backlight, and Now Playing as the options. Just hit the Select button on the Shuffle Songs options and it should start playing them in random order. (I'm assuming these menu options are the same on regular iPod; I have the mini and those are my menu options)...

I have a mini and under the beginning menu go to shuffle songs.  The original menu has music, extras, settings, shuffle songs, backlight.  Once you click on shuffle songs you can forward to the next song to see what the 1st 10 are in the shuffle.  HTH  I am terrible with technology too!!
