My sister bought me this wool cape from Target for Christmas (but in black). I like it but I have absolutely no idea what to wear with it. Since it covers the entire "top" area, I suppose it doesn't matter what I wear under it if I'm wearing it like a jacket. Any ideas? I want to wear it and not find it in the back of my closet in 3 months.

I'd probably just pair it with a long sleeve shirt and jeans. Do you think you will take it off while inside? or is it something you'd wear throughout the day?

Is there supposed to be an image?

I think of a cape as working with more feminine outfits, so I'd wear it with a dress, especially a sheath, or a pencil skirt.

I'd pair it with a thin turtleneck, long sleeve top, or long sleeve blouse. Do you have a pic of the cape?

Sorry, I thought I attached it before.... oops. It's this one, but in black.

I like the idea of it over a sheath. I do have a nice charcoal gray one that I rarely wear.

I could see it working over a sheath. Maybe also try it over cigarette pants or skinny jeans to balance the volume on top?

I have a cape that I love. I wear it over skinny jeans and slim pants and usually a simple top, a turtleneck or slim sweater. I have also worn it with a skirt and boots and tights, again, keeping the top simple and streamlined, and it looked good with a pencil skirt.

I don't wear it with a dress very much as someone at the office called me florence nightingale when I wore it with a sheath (both black), so I always felt self conscious about it.
