New Pontiac Solstice- Its pretty and I can afford a new one

Toyota Solara- They are reliable cars and I might be able to afford a new or slightly used one

So I'm thinking of getting a new car.  I really want a convertible.  I don't need one, but I'm going through a divorce and this is my irrational reaction.  I thought this would pass but I keep looking at cars online and I still really want one. 


Which one do you girls like and do you have any feed back on any of these?

I love the audi.  The toyota one you posted always was known in my area as the toyota that caught on fire quite a bit.  It is even sold with a fire retartant blanket in the hood (or it was a few years ago) so I would research into that a bit.


I could see how you would be tired of a civic and want something better.  Maybe keep looking for a few more months and then decide after your initial impulse is over.  You could always do a mid-size car or suv with a sun roof.

My friend's dad owns a car dealership and he always freaks out when people buy cars their first year out. He says they have a million recalls, so you are better off buying it after they have been made for a few years. He gave that lecture to a friend of mine and she bought a Ford Focus when it first came out. She had it recalled 7 times and one of them was pretty major. I know it got to be a big pain taking it into the shop.

My first car was Audi Cabriolet and that thing took a beating from me and it helg up really well. My sister has the TT, but it is not a convertible- I think that it what the model is. They have beem really realiable cars and we have never had major problems w/ them.

I love the TT's and definately think you should consider getting that.  That's what I am looking at getting when I buy a new car!
