I hope it's not lame of me to ask this (considering I'm a teacher) but...what do you guys suggest as a teacher gift for your kid's teachers???? This woman is stellar!!!! She was my hubby's teacher in 3rd grade, my oldest son's teacher in Kindergarten and now my yougest sons 1st grade teacher. His last day with her is on Wednesday. She is the coolest person. Very friendly and involved with the kids/school. I see her all the time at district events(we work for the same school district). We already pitched in for a "class gift" to her but would like to acknowledge her as a family. Any suggestions????? Nothing too overboard money wise...heck she makes threefold what I do- but something perhaps a bit more meaningful.

On my oldest daughter's last day of preschool one of the other mothers brought the PS teacher a nice bouquet of flowers in a vase.  They were gorgeous.  The teacher was very excited.  You could tell she didn't get them very often.  That's going to be my "teacher present" from now on!

I think that might be a good idea with maybe a really nice card and put a pic of your whole family in the card so she can always remember all of her students!!!

I only did the gifts in elementary school.  I can't remember what I gave, but I do remember that my mom took us to the craft store and we made something special!

I second this idea.  When my sister and I were little, we would always bring teachers flowers on the first day of school.

third this idea!

Just please no little statues, or teacher notepads, or candles, or little ornaments that have bears on them. That's what I always get!
