I recently purchased these shoes...ZJS270_MAINTHUMB.jpgbut I don't know what to wear them with. I love them and don't want to  have to return them but if I can't figure something out I might have to take them back and get the black ones instead.  Please help...

Fierce! I think it's a good color and you can wear them all year. Some things I'd wear them with...

* All-black outfits. Either jeans/pants/skirt plus top, or black dresses. With jeans/pants I might try a silver belt. Ditto black/white/gray outfits. Ditto zebra or other bold black/white print dress. The shoes would be that "pop of color" everyone always mentions.

* Gray pants/skirts and a pink or lavender top, basically a lighter/icier version of the same color. Or gray on the bottom plus another bright color on top, like yellow or grass green or teal (best for spring/summer).

* Dark or medium-wash straightleg or bootcut jeans and black, white, or gray on top, like for a night out. The ol' "jeans and a cute top."

* In the summer, white pants/skirt/jeans with a feminine print top, ideally a print with a pinkish or purplish color in it so it harmonizes.

I also love greens and purples together...as in a deep green wrap dress or jeans and a hunter green top.

I love those shoes- I'd keep the rest of the outfit neutral/black/grey or do prints in colors that aren't too "matchy" personally- I'd avoid using that exact shade at any point in the outfit again.

OK, first, KEEP THOSE SHOES!!!!! They are amazing!

I like navy & purple together. I also like green, red or grey with purple. I think they'd work with almost any outfit as long as you don't try to match the purple (too much, you know?)

I love them in the second photo (the one with the black dress.)

yeah, leave them, this purple is a good accent color, for both fall & spring. With black, greys, browns, green....for example all black/grey with a pop of this purple!

Some of us like to match. I know it's old-school but sometimes I feel it looks polished.

ETA: Easy for me to say - almost everything I wear is black/gray/white.

If you're ever feeling like not matching, I love purple with mustard yellow and blue. Just gives an extra oomph, and even though it's not "matching," it's coordinating. Which is just as important. :)
