Can anyone recommend a good book about videography?

My husband just got a new video camera and is interested in getting lots of video footage of our kids and the places we visit while we are living overseas.  He wants to get really good at it and learn more about editing, etc. and adding music to the videos.  Does anyone know of a good reference book that I can get him for Christmas or other video camera accessory that would help him accomplish this task??  I've tried looking online but have not had any luck.  Thanks!!

If he doesn't already have a tripod, I really recommended getting him one. A decent one will save you from hours of shaky-hand viewing. I got mine from Sears years ago and I probably paid about $50 for it. Just make sure that it has a swivel head for panning and a good lock feature to keep the camera steady. The legs should be telescopic to give you the best range of height.
