Hahaha my bf always calls people L7s.  I think it is from that baseball movie-- L7 weenie.  hehe.

My bf used to call me that all the time when we first started seeing eachother. I'm too much of a good girl I guess.

I didn't know it came from a movie though. The bf always acts like he came up with it himself. Figures.

bougie - short for bourgeois.

"did you see her chanel purse? she's so bougie!"

it's kind of funny though, because i'll use the expression, and then i have to explain it to people who ask...then i still have to explain what bourgeois is!

L7 weenie is from the sandlot, one of my favorite movies of all time!  my friends and i had the biggest crushes on that kid who played benny the jet rodriguez.  ahhh, takes me back to my youth....

I use the word "sick" as much as humanly possible i.e. "He has the sickest Range Rover"

Another phrase that I love is "killing it".

True story:

My best friend and I had gone out after clubhopping and I had on the hottest shoes and as I was walking out this dude in the parking lot shouts to me, "You're killin' it in those shoes." Strange but true...

Catpaw is a phrase that recently heard.  It basically can be used to replace "guys".

"Lets go to the bar catpaws."

OMG this thread is amazing, I have been laughing all the way to the end. Have to add:

herb: (pronounce the H) an unknowingly dopey, clueless guy who thinks he is cool but isn't. As in, "man, those guys that tried to talk to us were herbs!"

gebrone or gebroni: similar to a herb, but with an added dimension of obnoxiousness. Pretty much a meathead. Apparently this is the Rock's trademark insult. I think it's brilliant.

i know there are a bunch of good ones I am forgetting. I loved all yours! I thought "killing it" was something only my BF said. And I have TOTALLY been hearing a resurgence of words like rad and tubular. How about gnarly? I think it can mean either really horrible, or really good, depending.

And, this is not slang but it's an incredible expression and has stuck with me for years. My ex, who used to live in Thailand, heard one of his Thai friends say that a bad-looking mutual acquaintance "had a face like a smashed crab."

here's another one:

"down"--to be in agreement w/ something.

as in:

"do you want to go to the mall?"

"yeah, i'd be down for that."

oh and that one made me think of this one even though there's no relation:

"dl" or "downlow"--to keep something a secret, or at least be discreet about it.

as in:

"are john and jane together?"

"yeah, but they're keeping it on the dl because she hasn't broken up w/ joe yet"
