Has anyone else noticed how all of these celebrities break off a long term relationship and then almost immediately get married to someone else? Katie Holmes/Chris Klein/Tom Cruise, Renee Zwellger/Jack White/Kenny Chesney, J.Lo/Puff Daddy/Chris Judd/Ben Affleck/Mark Anthony...the list goes on and on. It's really weird.

They are by far the weirdest couple ever. How the heck did they ever even meet? What happened to Joey Potter??? I don't think she can differentiate between Tom Cruise, her childhood crush (aka Mr. Top Gun), and Tom Cruise the person.

I would love to get on the inside to see what's really going on. They (Hollywood) say that Tom Cruise started to get nutsy after he fired his long time PR person and hired his sister.

Up until then I think he was more hush hush but now its like he can't keep his mouth shut. His 'people' must be cringing at all of this negative publicity.
Either he's experiencing some HUGE mid-life crisis or totally off his rocker.

Has anyone but me noticed that Tom calls her, KATE?

That's very werid to me and doesn't sit well. It reminds of me of two of my exes over the years that were VERY controlling. Out of all of the guys that I've dated only those two guys called me by my real name, while other guys and friends called me by my nickname (which is just a shorter version of my name). I never noticed it until I looked back, but now I see it and realized how extremely controlling they were being.

I just find it very disturbing that he calls her Kate and not Katie like everyone else.
Does this bother anyone else?

Before Tom Cruise went insane, I thought that dating him was an excellent career move for her. But, I was sooooo wrong. Now that she's joining his er... religion and acting like a 13 yr old who just got asked out by her crush, she looks just as crazy as Tom does. *sigh* I used to have a lot of respect for Tom, but clearly That Guy was a creation of his publicist... the one he fired.

I have read over & over that he called her in for an "interview" of sorts - and she wasn't the first of young hollywood single ladies that he had brought in. I wouldn't believe this except he really won't give details about how they met, so I am inclined to think it's true - (I've never heard of this site, but it had the info that I wanted)

I heard the same thing. I heard Kate Bosworth was in the running along w/Jessica Alba. They are smart women to turn him down.

Sage, you hit the nail on the head! She looked very in love with Chris Klien before, and she did it without acting or sounding like a total loon! I'm glad you brought this up, lilmissdiva. Everytime I hear him call her Kate it rubs me the wrong way. Obviously we don't know the circumstances behind it, but I do feel like it is another example of how he is making choices for her. I have NEVER heard her express an interest in being called Kate.

As far as him getting more and more strange, I think he's always been really eccentric and passionate about scientology. From what I've read, his previous PR people spent a lot of time and effort trying to keep the scientology babble on the downlow. Now he has completely surrounded himself with people who feel as strongly about the religion as he does.

I hope she gets it together. She used to seem so down to earth.

I actually think it is great if they have found love together, I won't judge people for who they love. I just think it is completely over the top that they are going to so much effort to push it in our faces.
