It of course depends on what type of music you like....yesterday I picked up:

White Stripes - Get Behind Me Satan

Starflyer 59 - Talking Voice vs. Singing Voice

Gorillaz - Demon Days

Decemberists - Picaresque

Aqualung - Strange and Beautiful

Ravonettes - Pretty in Black

That'll probably hold me over til next week.........

i have a latin/reggae mix that i love (but i'm a dork and make theme mixes...)

*suavemente -- elvis crespo

*carino -- j.lo (there is actually a spanish song that uses the same beat, but i'm not sure what it's called)

*gasolina -- daddy yankee

*culo -- pit bull

*get low -- lil john

*that sexy body -- sasha

*100% -- big pun

*oye mi canto -- daddy yankee

*turning me on -- nina skye

*move your body -- nina skye

*turn me on -- kevin little

*oh my god -- tony sunshine

as far as whole cd's given your taste, you might really like mary j. blige's what's the 411 remix cd. it's one of her best albums, and all the songs are upbeat versions of the ones on her first cd.

I just spent like the last hour devising driving playlists. Some CDs that had prominent places were...

The Shins - Chutes Too Narrow
Beck - Guero
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Fever To Tell
Spoon - Gimme Fiction
Imogen Heap - I Megaphone

And then my continual favorites are...

The Strokes
Ben Kweller - Sha Sha
Spoon - Kill The Moonlight
Rilo Kiley - More Adventurous
Billy Bragg and Wilco - Mermaid Avenue
Britney Spears - In The Zone

I've had the Damien Rice CD for awhile now and I love it to death.  It's perfect music to help you relax/sleep on the bus!

A couple of others:

*Matt Nathanson- Beneath These Fireworks

*Jamie Cullum- Twentysomething

*Cary Brothers- All The Rage

*Jason Mraz- Tonight, Not Again

*Dave Matthews Band- Stand Up

*Sarah McLachlan- iTunes originals (I recently listened to this on a long drive and it was great cause the songs were interspersed with interviews!)

*Robbie Williams- Greatest Hits (so fun!)
