Has anyone tried the new Fruit & Walnut salad from McDonald's? It looks pretty good to me, but someone told me they didn't like it. I think that may have been because they aren't a big fan of apples. Any reviews?
They give you sugared walnuts, apples and grapes on a bed of lettuce. There is a yougurt dipping sauce too.
It is kind of expensive for what you get, but I think it taste good. I have been getting that and the wendy's fruit salad a lot latley. It has been about 90 and really humid the last week, so nothing but cold fruit has sounded good.

I love it. I usually hate nuts but those candied walnuts are sooo good. I was eating the Wendy's one but always found that the melon was not very good and the pineapple tasted a little funny

I went to McDonald's last night and tried this. I love it! It's so good, except I'm not a big fan of the walnuts. I like how they give those to you on the side, so you don't have to eat them. Otherwise, very yummy. Oh and in Chicago, it costs $3.20...it may be different prices in different states.
I had it for the first time last week. I thought it was okay. I mean, it seemed plain to me. Mine was simply cut apples and grapes, with the yogurt dressing on the side with the walnuts in a bag. I'm big on fruit inm my house anyhow, so maybe i'm just used to really fresh fruit, so that's why I wasn't impressed. But overall, it's a cute idea and brilliant for someone on the run who doesn't have time to cut up their own fruit.

I agree. I love the salad but I hate those walnuts, so I just don't eat them. I usually get this and a Fruit and Yogurt Parfait. I am addicted to those freakin parfaits and sometimes I eat three a day.

oh my god that's so funny tri_sarah_tops! my bf and i sometimes go and order six a day between the two of us. we thought we were the only ones addicted to those parfaits!
No, I have a serious addiction, I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one! They're so damn good! And they only have like 130 calories so I don't feel bad eating them all the time. I'll stop on my way to work in the morning and buy two. I'll eat one when I get to work, and i'll eat the other one at like 10am (if I can wait that long. Sometimes I eat both of them right away). About two or three times a week I'll go get another one after lunch and then most evenings (around 7ish) I'll buy another one. So, on some days I eat four, and on a couple of occasions I have eaten five or six. I had three today!

Oh that is hysterical! We totally do the same thing - and the people at McDonald's always go "you want how many fruit & yogurt parfaits?" LOL.
Someone I was talking to said they left the apples in the fruit and walnut salad out for a week and they never turned brown! I don't know what they put on the apples, but that doesn't sound right to me!!!
