I want to get a new cd.  What is something you have that you can't sit still and listen...you must get up and dance or move or whatever.  I need to do some hard core house cleaning tonight and thought it would help.

Black Eyed Peas Elephunk. Very good dance CD! Very funky and cool.

It may sound silly but when I painted my room I played the Justin Timberlake CD (can't remember the name but the one with Rock Your Body on it) like over and over. Kept me groovin and motivated to keep going!

Forgot one!!! Daft Punk. Any of their albums are soooo cool but I LOVE "Discovery" Kind of electronica, you'd recognize some of the songs from movies.

I listen to a lot of electronica and that makes me move, but I know most people don't listen to it/like it....

that justin timberlake CD always gets me moving too!  last night i was doing some cleaning and listened to janet jackson's design of a decade album (her earlier greatest hits).  that definitely kept me going.

I agree w/the Justin Timberlake CD.  Another good one is Madonna - the Immaculate Collection.

my #1 fav. cd is DJ Colette: Our Day (it seriously puts me such a good mood).

my #2 to work out to Fired Up Vol. 1, I also have Vol. 2.  (don't laugh, but i fell for an infomercial).

i have a workout mix and that's what i listen to.  most of the songs are from the Fired Up Cds.  (i'm a dork)

also, i buy a lot of cds from amazon because you can buy new and used.  i've had no problem buying used.

I must admit that I can't sit still through disco - I have the whole collection of "Pure Disco" cds. I also love anything Kid Rock, Prince, Madonna "Music" cd- and Ace of Base "The Sign" - am I now banished from the board????

But I'm old.......(33!!!!)

My roommate and I use to listen to Ace of Base before we would go out last year.  That and New Kids on the Block.  The blast from the past always put us in a party mood and we would dance around out apartment.  So you arent banished in my eyes!!

I LOVE that kind of music, which artists do you like?

Lilmissdiva:  My favorites are trance and happy hardcore.  The happy hardcore is the stuff that really makes me want to move since it's so fast.

For specific artists though, Darude is my favorite trance DJ and I like DJ Doboy.  For the hardcore stuff, it's a huge group of people.  This is mostly because all the DJ's I like there only play on the happyhardcore.com internet radio station.  Only a couple that I know of actually have stuff on CD's:  DJ Silver, Scott Brown.  I also like some DJ Spree, which is how I was introduced to this type of stuff.

I'm pretty much obsessed with electronica (not that I don't listen to other stuff though), since it's the only music that "gets" to me.

Wow, I love that kind of stuff. Alot of it I like but not necessarily know who does what.

Do you like some of the mainstream artists? Paul Oakenfield, BT, Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method?

My new love is trance-y, fusion stuff. Morcheeba, Zero 7, Sneaker Pimps, and Massive Attack. Nice groove to anything music.

I'm not really a big fan of the mainstream stuff; maybe a song or two, but for the most part, no.

That's cool you like the music too.  It's so hard to find people that do!

Where are you from? There's an awesome place to go to in Toronto for underground electronica music.

Its called Guverment. Its something like 20,000 sq. ft. big. I was there 5 years ago, its awesome!

Bleh, I live in Iowa, so nowhere close to any place that plays it.  Well, there is a gay club 40 miles away that I go to every now and again, but yeah, I live where there's nothing..

one particular song popped into my head when i read this topic title- "she wants to move" by N.E.R.D.

some others...

"galang" (M.I.A.)

"i predict a riot" (kaiser chiefs)

"i'm shakin" (rooney)

"helicopter" (bloc party)

whoops!  i just realized that you were asking for CDS, not individual tracks.  oh well, you should check these songs out anyway!
