It's hot! - summer work clothes?
Permalink Closed

I am hot, sweaty, tired, and uninspired! I need help! Can we post pictures of cute tops (very much in need of tops) and dresses (love shift dresses or any other kind of sleeveless dress) that are conservative work environment appropriate!

BIG TIA!

Did anyone see this
APC Dress in Lucky? I really like it. It also comes in Navy and I am thinking about getting it. Thoughts?

i saw this girl on the train the other day and a she was wearing a light wool (?) gaucho/capri pant (nice, not cheap looking) and it was blowing around, looked like she was wearing pjs.  and then on top she had a sheer top (button up) with a cami underneath.  i looked at her and thought, wow, she's definitely not sweating the way i am (i FINALLY went to walgreens to buy some certain dri after that!!!).

i'll try to find some pics.  i know bcbg (surprise surprise) has them 50% off right now in black, white, brown.  the top looked banana republicish.

on sale banana.  looks light weight, but work appropriate.  i haven't been to the limited in about a year (i'm not sure why not ) but i know they always used to have tops like this.

dot-that APC dress is cute, I can picture it with a cute  belt. i think you'd be able to wear it in a lot of different ways. belt, jeans, flats, heels, lots of jewlery, simple, etc.

killa - not ryanj, but these two shirts:

Are from Banana Republic.  Also, the green isn't a solid green, it has stripes.  I have it in a different color.

Banana Republic

Banana Republic

I don't know if you know this, but if you right mouse click on the picture and then left click on "properties" A littel box will come up and they first line is "location" that will tell you USUALLY tell you where the item is from. It doesn't always work, but usaually it does.

I remember when people would post pics and I would think "great shirt, but where the hell do I find it?!!?!"

Thanks to those who replied with "where is this from?" answers.

I am on a Mac so I don't have a right click. Just one clicker for me!

If you hold down your CONTROL button & click that is equivalent to the right click - just a tip from a fellow mac user.

what about this dress.  it's gauze (it also comes in pink).  it doesn't look as casual as the cool change dresses..

it's only $80.  i feel like i've seen a ton of "breezy" dresses.

I'm glad to help. I have never worked in an office, so I didn't really have an idea what was acceptable and what was not. I decied to go crazy and post everything I thought might work.
