How Do you carry a satchel??
Permalink Closed

I have never owned a satchel...but I like the way they look. Do most of you carry it on your arm or do you hold on to it in your hands??? I am so used to the convenience of shoulder bags...do satchels get annoying when you are carrying multiple items??

TIA!

i'm one of those people who always carrys her handbag in her arm. i don't do the shoulder bag just b/c it doesnt suit me and i dont like the look of shoulder bags (structured bags are cooool). i recently got a new ralph lauren purple label handbag with a top handle that i just fell in love with since i saw it in lucky (?) a couple of months ago that i finally found. i'll definitely post pix when it gets here! i also do carry it in my hand but thats if my arm gets tired (if the bag is heavy).

with multiple items, i either carry everything on my arm with my handbag or i carry my handbag in my arm and my stuff in my other hand. it sounds complicated but im used to it so its nothing to me.

its a matter of preference. you'll know which feels comfy and cool.

I'm with exsupahero - I love the structured look of satchels.  I do own some shoulder bags, though, simply because I think they're hard to carry with other things. I hate taking them shopping because they dig into my arm and get heavy.  If you're small, though, a lot of satchels can fit on your shoulder for a few minutes in case you do need your hands free.
