Has anyone ever had a denim skirt lengthened? Do you think that could work?


I just got this a-line denim skirt and I love the fit. But it is too short - my knees show and I don't want them to! I definitely didn't expect this since I've ordered two knee-length skirts from Esprit before and the length was perfect on me...


I'd really appreciate any advice! TIA!

could you get a bigger size so it hangs down more on your hips?

I did think about that but I really like the overall fit the way it is now. I may have to reconsider, though. I don't think I'll ever wear the skirt if I constantly feel self-conscious about the length...

I would just try the bigger size and maybe get it taken in if needed?  I'm not sure how to lengthen aside from adding lace or something at the bottom, which I think would detract from this style of skirt.  Maybe if it was a too-short mini skirt...

I don't think it'd look good lengthened.  Have you tried Target Isaac M.'s a-line denim skirt?

Thanks, berryahou! I checked out that Target denim skirt and it looked great. I think I might order it if I end up returning the Esprit one. Thankfully, Esprit does have free shipping and free returns...
