FH and I are probably thinking of Hawaii for our HM but not sure where to go! We are both in our mid-20s, we are into sight seeing, beaches, really good food.... I wouldn't say we are into the outdoors and hiking - we get bored and frustrated in the heat (not sure how HOT it gets in Hawaii) - but I guess would try it if given the opportunity. I would love to see some awesome volcanoes .... I also do want to island hop, starting off with Oahu... can anyone else give recommendations on which islands to check out? I'm open to go to at least 1-2 more... Thank you :)

When's your HM?  That'll dictate when to come b/c summer's can be a real pain in the butt.  Best time to come is Sept-Oct. since hotel occupancy is very low & rates are virtually slashed in half.  The drawback to that is that's right in the heart of Hurricane Season & we haven't had a bad one in over 10 years.  If you can wait until next year, try Feb-mid-March or mid-April-May.  Those tend to be off-season months as well.

Other than Oahu, I'd do Maui & the Big Island.  Kauai might be TOO laid back for any couple that likes nightlife or non-outdoorsy activities.

Good luck!

I love Kauai. It's the least touristy, although all of Hawaii is pretty touristy. It's also more lush than the rest of the islands, but that also translates into more rain. I also love the Big Island. Best place to see an active volcano.

I love Kauai, but it really doesn't sound like your kind of place.  My guy and I got married there and stayed for 11 days.  We really enjoyed ourselves, but other than lounging by the pool there is really NOTHING to do other than hike, kayak, or do other outdoorsy activities.  No shopping or no nightlife whatsoever.

I think you would probably like Maui and the Big Island.  The both have lots of great food and activities, but you can also hike and do some cool relaxing things.  I find Oahu a little bit too crowded for my taste.  But since most flights from the mainland land in Oahu before taking you to the other islands, it is really easy to spend a couple days there too.
