Did anyone watch it last night?  What did you think?  I guess it looks good. I don't know how it will compare w/ Project Runway.

I was okay...nothing new and different in my opinion.  I find Tommy himself really annoying...he is very full of himself. I happen to catch him on one of the morning shows yesterday morning and he was talking about how the great the show was...which I know he has to... but he said it was completely different and not like any of the other reality shows.  Apparently he has never watched The Apprentice...it really seems like a carbon copy to me with a slight fashion/creative slant.  When do the actually get to design some clothes...it looks like next week they have to "pimp out" cars or SUVs?

I know - I want to see them design some clothes!! The format is very much like The Apprentice.  That was what my boyfriend said when he started watching it w/ me!!

I caught the last 30 or so minutes of The Cut and I was really disappointed.  I mean, the billboards?  My 5 year old cousin could have come up with better ideas.  I also don't get why the show is focusing so much on the marketing/business side of fashion.  I understand business skills are necessary but shouldn't "the next big designer" have some sort of design talent as well?  I'm sure eventually we'll get to see what these people can do but honestly, if the lackluster billboards are any indication of their creative talent, this show will be a huge waste of time from start to finish.  It's got absolutely nothing on Project Runway.

I was way disappointed.  Tommy seemed SOOO self-important and arrogant.  I won't be watching again.  Project Runway runs circles around The Cut.

Can we just stop for a second and think about Tommy's equivalent of "you're fired" saying...

... "You're out of style."

I mean, come on! I started hysterically laughing. it was so bad that it was good, lol.
