Cool color combos
Permalink Closed

I am redoing my bathroom and I want it too look a little funky.

I was orginally thinking of doing it in Robins Egg blue and brown and then having black and white checked floor. The industrial strength tiles that are put in elementary schools. I have cermaic tile now, but I bust it all the time because I drop things on it. I really like the black and white idea. I just am not sold on the blue and brown.

Right now my bathroom is orange and pink- which I like, but I want something different. I am the only that uses the bathroom so it can be as crazy as I want it to be.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

I think the blue and brown combo would look great.  I love that combo!

I second that combo - LOVE IT!!!! I also like turquoise and red.  I also like turquoise and lime green or more of a chartreuse. Also chartreuse and eggplant purple.

I'm going to have to go against that and just point out that the blue/brown probably wouldn't go w/ the black/white floor.  I have the turquoise/brown mixture in my bedroom and love it.  My bathroom is dark russet orange and brown (sounds gross, but it's nice).  I did orange because the granite in my bathroom has orange flecks in it.

I love the funky rubber flooring - especially the nubby floors like you see in elevators sometimes.  Looks great in black

Here's some color combos that would look good w/ the black/white floor:

fuchsia and orange

royal blue and lime green

turquoise and red (already suggested, but I did that in my son's room & it's great)

robin's egg and citrus-y orange

tomato red and either pea green or grape

Or for a more mediteranean/french look, go for a goldy yellow w/ an aging technique.
