Um, ladeedah...... if those are your feet in that picture above, I have 2 things to say:

1.  you must have the tiniest feet in the world, or

2.  those shoes are humongous!

I saw that picture and thought "What the Hell!?!?!" But realized that is probably your daughters feet- the one the poncho is for.

This skirt but in pink and brown, really cute and I'm loving that long skirts are in now:

A really cute tiered skirt with a keyhole front that can be worn as a dress, from Nordstrom. I wish I could find a pic.

I am behind on this weekend shopping thing, and this looks like a bunch of stuff, but most I have gotten on extremely clearance, nothing over $10.

thin cable knit hoodie sweater
I am wearing this as a shawl/cape for the fall - thought it looked very vintage & it was like $6
$2.99 @ Forever 21, has cool gold coins in the threadsExpress $10 tank, also in black$10 cardi for fall
to replace my straw bag with bamboo handles that "bites" me
shopaholic tank that was actually jammies at Walmart, but it's very thick & was $3, so hard to resist.

Welp, weeks ago Chic posted a thread about long dresses and I've been dying for one since then.  I haven't been able to find one in my budget so I figured what the heck, I'll make one.  So I bought this pattern:

silky fabric similar to this:

and spent pretty much the entire weekend sewing.  This project turned out to be pretty um, ambitious for my beginner sewing skills but the dress turned out really good.  It's the shorter dress in the picture, but I lengthened it.  I'm super satisfied.  Can't wait to wear it!  Only problem now is I can't decide what shoes to wear with it.  I keep thinking flat sandals, but I'm only 5 feet tall so I know I should wear a shoe with some height.  Right??  I also keep thinking about a metallic shoe, but I don't know if gold or silver would look best.  Or maybe no metallic?  Blargh!  I need help!

I am so IN AWE of you taking the situation in your own hands & just making what you want. I have SO been contemplating doing this myself (to the point of actually getting a second hand sewing machine) - it just seems like the best alternative to me never being able to find pants that fit like I want & skirts in the right fabric / length / fit. GOOD FOR YOU. Can you post a picture? I'd love to see your finished product.

I want that plant stakes. Well, I actually want them for my mom. She is the gardener. Too cute!

That is such a cool site Erin. Everything on there is so crazy.

I'm not sure that I'll keep this because I ordered it online and don't know if I'll like it on me.  But for some reason I've been wanting a sassy black dress, which I don't have.

I also hit up the Express sale last weekend and bought 4 new tops for work.  Maybe I'll take pix and post later.

Halleybird, I have the same cropped trouser jeans and I absolutely love them. They even fit me better than some of my high-end jeans and I get so much wear out of them.

YAY! Thanks!

oh, and I almost got a pair of Seven Millers for $45, but decided against it. My sister got some, too.

I got them from Nordstrom Rack, but it looks like Zappos has them too. This is a TERRIBLE photo of them though: http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/2527706/c/4126.html
