weekender bag?
Permalink Closed

I want a cute weekender bag.  I am going to NYC in few days to visit my bf.  I have suitcases and carry ons, but i would prefer a bag.  I like these:

Floral Print Weekender

just not sure of the flowers- I would prefer solid.  Not too $$$ and brick and mortar prefered because it def. won't be here by monday when i need it.

I happen to have that bag but in the maroon color. It looks better in person than online.

I know that many stores are offering free bags when you buy perfumes. I think the men's bag are better though so if you feel like getting your SO or dad some cologne, maybe you can snag yourself a free tote!

That bag is really cute - where is it from?  I've never heard of Vera Bradley - gotta check it out.

I have a Coach weekender tote which I use alot, but I also really like LeSportsac for travel stuff.  You can throw them in wash and they're really lightweight and reasonable prices. I've seen some weekender LeSportsac's at Urban. hth!

"My name is shopgirl82, and I own a Vera Bradley"

"Hi.  shopgirl82"

i loved the bag until i found Herve Chapelier.  I love my Herve Bag.  I know what B&M stores they are sold in Chicago and Philly.  Oh wait, they're sold at Bloomingdales too!  They're the best.  They can also be washed and are really sturdy.

in ohio:

CAMARGO TRADING CO.
7744 Laurel Avenue
CINCINNATI, OHIO 45243
USA
Tel. : 1 513 561 0842

and there's also a store in toledo.

Hahahahahaha I love that--southern sorority girl!  That's totally what they are.  I actually have a whole set !  I love the xl duffle.  I can fit a TON of stuff in it!

I refused to carry my VB tote when I was in college cause they were everywhere.  Now everyone I see at UVa is carrying the Herve Chapelier or Vineyard Vines.  I like them both, but they are just ubiquitous at the moment. . .

lynnie... is that bag from urban? if so, i have it (but in a different print from last year). it's a perfect weekend bag, but i was sort of disappointed in the quality of the straps. i don't think it will fall apart the material is just yucky and cheap looking. i would have actually returned it if i hadn't purchased at the last minute for a weekend trip that i needed it for.

but i guess you are looking for different options as i re-read your post... or are you considering getting this one from an urban b/m store near you? if so, that's my mini-review of it.

sorry, not much help.

Yea its from urban.  I did want something similar to it I guess because I agree with you on the straps.  The size and shape are perfect though!  I may stop by an Urban tomorrow so we'll see.  I really didn't want to spend money on a bag but I don't have anything that works!  I was hoping there would be some miracle perfect bag at Target or something
