hints on fading jeans?

I have a pair of grey jeans, but I want to get them to a faded look quickly. Any tips? Hot water wash with lots of detergent? I don't want to use bleach b/c I think I'd mess it up.
Thanks!

Try hot water with normal amount of detergent, but repeat at least 15 times...If you do this at home it might damage your washing machine but if you can risk it - add a few stones, you can maybe use polished stones, just to beat it up not scratch it during the washing cycle.

Yana,

Have you tried the stone trick - how good does it work?

I find that the All's 3x concentrated detergent faded my jeans well. I use a couple of capful.

I haven't tried myself, but this is how it's done at the factories to get the beat up worn look. Saw it myself.
