Brazilian - update

OMG!  I went to the "salon" yesterday to get the Brazilian, okay so $40 seems the norm. The girl I had before who was very nice but slow, wasn't there.  This other lady takes me in, doesn't leave me alone, just tells me to take my bottoms off (i ask for the towel and she said that it wouldn't even be covered anyways. So here I am so embarrased, I take off my bottoms, and get on the table thing. Ugh - she was fast and OH SOOOO PAINFUL!  She couldn't seem to get that it was hurting alot. I think she didn't let the wax "set" enough and she would do large patches at once.  OMG - I went home and found I had 2 cuts (I have very thin & delicate skin) and BF says looks so raw and red that she probably stripped a layer of skin off!

Not at all the sexy feeling anymore - argh!  well, i won't go back to her again, but should I say anything?  She kept telling me how she's been doing this for 10yrs and how other people say they feel nothing.

That's terrible!  I've never had a brazillian, but one time a lady waxed my eyebrows and literally torn skin off.  I went back and complained.  They gave me my money back and I've never gone back.  Your experience had to of been 10 times more painful than mine.  I'd defintely either call or go back and complain.  She obviously didn't know what she was doing or was in a hurry.

ugh, that sounds awful!!  i know what u mean about cuts... i've gotten them too & also i've gotten bruising where it looked like blood came to the surface (kinda like a really dark hickey).  i dunno why it never occurred to me to complain, but u totally should!  especially when u know it can be done better from experience!

I know bruising isn't all that uncommon for people with thin/sensitive skin. But the cuts...I've never heard of that before. I would say complain, they'll probably give you your money back, or at least offer something complimentary. As long as it's not a brazilian with the same woman! That's really too bad...My brazilians have always been relatively painless (as long as I wasn't doing it myself).

I would complain. My salon is really great about that kind of thing. If you call and let them know you are unhappy they do there best to make it right.

How did it go?  If they were to tell you to come in and prove it, that would be bad business.  If they had reason to believe it was your fault somehow, they should just refund the money and say they don't feel comfortable waxing you again due to you having skin that tears/cuts easily.  I really doubt that they would even do that though.  It wouldn't even be true.  The other woman didn't cause the damage that this woman did.  I would hope that the salon would refund your money and give you a gift certificate toward getting waxed with the woman you liked better.
